What is a good friend?

A good friend is a person, who is very close to me. A good friend must understand me and we must have something in common, for example we could share some interests. A good friend is the one whom I can trust. It is very important. I must be sure, that my friend never betrays me. It is very nice to have a good friend!

Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to express my strong dissatisfaction about the way hens are treated in many parts of Europe.

They are kept in terrible conditions. Farmers keep them in small cages called "batteries", and it is horrible. Five or six hens are put in one cage. They cannot flap their wings or turn around in the cage. They are not given any sunshine or fresh air and it is very unnatural because hens must live outside and get enough oxygen and sunlight. Those hens cannot live full life and lay healthy eggs. I my opinion “free range” farm system is much better. It enables hens to live in healthier conditions. As a result eggs that are laid by healthy hens are of better quality.
In my opinion, I think we should all try to buy free-range eggs, not eggs from battery hens.

If I were the Minister of Transport.

Transport is a very important part of our life. We use transport every day. Cars, busses, trolleys, trams - these kinds of transport are most popular. I think that transport is very important and it helps people to move from one point to another faster.

If I were a Minister of Transport I would make metropolitan in our town. It would be very comfortable for lots of people to travel in it. Underground train would help peolple to travel faster. It is much more ecological. If I were the Minister of Transport I would make busses, trams and trolleys travel not so often. Then people would use metropolitan and air would become clearer.

I think that Transport Minister's job is very responsible. That's why i would like to be the Minister of Transport.

If I were a superman.

If I were a superman, it would be awesome! If I could fly, I would be able to save hundreds of people. I would be able to rescue people from fire and explosions. If I had a super strength to heal myself, I would be indestructible and would be able to survive in al kinds of conditions. It would be amazing, if I were a superman!

The aim of my report is to speak about our favorite TV programmes. Several grown-ups and children were questioned about their favorite TV shows.

Grown-ups.
Most of the grown up people like such TV programmes as news and drama films. Some adults like talk shows, like Oprah Winfrey Show or other similar shows or russian television.

Children.
Young children mostly like cartoons, for example Cartoon Network channel or Nickedeon. Older children prefer youth comedies and serials, or even musical channels.

To sum up, adult's and children's interests are not same. Thats why in families that have children it is difficult to find a TV channel that will be liked by both grown-ups and kids.

I have just found out that the Metallica are giving a concert at Saku Suurhall on 18th April. I have just read that in a magazine. 18th April is Saturday and the concert begins at 7:30 p.m. Would you like to came along? I can get us 2 tickets for this concert. They cost 18 pounds or 15 pounds. I can also find out some other details about the event if you'd like. There will be no problems with accomodation - you can stay at my house. I hope, that you will be able to come. The Metallica is one of my favourite bands and I would like to visit their concert very much. I have never heard them live, so I expect it will be fun. I'am looking forward to your answer.

Reasons of bullying.

1. some people bully because they think that it is the way of being popular;
2. others do it to get people's attention;
3. some bullies do that to make people afraid of them;
4. most of bullies have poor social skills and don't know how to communicate with others;
5. some people do that to express their negative feelings;
6. or because of being bullied themselves.
